Cosmogonic myth

Before the Names

Original title: Antes dos Nomes

Before the Universe Had Names

Before language and time, beings of mythic power struggle over the borders of their realms and take part in the making of a universe still without names.

Six-volume cosmic saga

The story

Before language and time, beings of mythic power clash over territory, creation and the limits of their own strength. Their alliances and rivalries shape the realms of a universe still without names. Planned in six volumes, Antes dos Nomes has early narrative treatments; the entities' names, forms and relationships remain under authorial review.

A cosmogonic myth in prose, in the tradition of Hesiod's Theogony and Ovid's Metamorphoses, conceived as a literary and visual work with its own identity.

Why it stands out

The project is conceived as a cosmogonic mythic prose-poem rather than a conventional plot-driven novel. Its current materials explore illustrated and audio forms as possibilities; no market validation or buyer interest is claimed.

The world

A primordial cosmogony populated by powerful, personified beings. Their confrontations and alliances shape the realms of a universe still coming into being. Names, forms and hierarchies remain under authorial review.

Scope and formats

Planned six volumes and 24 chapters. Early narrative treatments exist; this is not a completed book manuscript.

Books, Audio
Who it is for
The author's own stated audience, and a narrow one by design: readers of cosmogonic poetry and sacred-text-adjacent literature (Hesiod, Ovid, Milton), visual artists, composers, and comparative-mythology scholars — not a general fiction readership. This is presented as-is rather than broadened, because broadening it would misrepresent what the work actually is.
Adaptation ideas
Illustrated and audio forms may be explored as artistic possibilities. No market validation, buyer interest, or adaptation package is documented.
